RBEF is a central communication and cooperation tool which is used by groups of people from different geographical locations to achieve and implement resource based economy on a global scale. Communication and cooperation between people is essential to achieve our goal on a global scale yet we also recognize that bringing people together into the same "space" causes lots of problems such as ego clashes, misunderstandings, different experiences in the same areas of expertise.

Based on this understanding, RBEF designed a platform which brings people together yet divides them into groups in transparent and organized way. Each group has its coordinator (or more than one) and group supporters/volunteers. For simplicity of recognizing users from different groups, each group has its own color, name and function.

Technically, RBEF is a tool that is made up of many different smaller tools which assisting people and groups in achieving their tasks. There are many tools already implemented, such as Forum and private messaging for communication, Documentation system for finalizing work and publish it as documents, tools for developers which allows technical people to communicate with one another, Tasks management system allowing groups to set tasks for themselves and for other groups that are needed to be done and much more.

Currently RBEF is being build up, technically wise by about 90% for essential tools we need to actually start our operations. Along the way, more and more tools will be added depending on the requirements and to make cooperation and communication between people easier. The rest 10% of development includes regional groups management allowing entire RBE community to join RBEF in productive way, financial tools allowing RBEF to become first ever transparent, open source bank.

After first phase of development, RBEF will engage into the second phase, breaking language barrier. This phase will be going on for about a year and in the process we'll develop statistical automated translation technology allowing entire multi-lingual community to get in one place (RBEF) and start working on implementation of RBE regardless of native language and/or place of origin.

Currently RBEF is at step (2. Legalization process) and in parallel introducing tools to support all other scheduled processes.

Currently RBEF is about one year old (precisely February 20th of 2009 is the birth of organization). Though out the year, RBEF was engaged into working out essential organizational structure, slowly introducing the tools we need for cooperation, growing members base. At the moment (January 26th 2010) RBEF has 521 members, 10% of which are relatively active, we have 8 different groups (2 more might be added, in the process of discussion) and about 6,000 visitors per month which is increasing all the time. RBEF is increasingly growing in members, tools, support from different organizations, all of these numbers are expected to increase progressively as soon as RBEF will start dealing with money and real-world resources.
